First Successful Working Mission

I finally got a mission to work properly

WARNING:U NEED WINRAR, BECUASE FILE IS A .RAR

Story: General Yuma and his top aces are flying out from Iwa Jima, back to Japan. The american Navy, At Wake Island, have intercepted the massage. Now, Ace Ventura, and his top pilots, are on thier way to shoot down the fleeing General and his Aces.

Map: pto_1

Planes: P40E and KI67

Altitude: 15k.

Next time it would be smart to throw in the map with the rar/zip file. I try to do that when putting missions on my site.

maybe it is my brain fart, but I cannot find that map to download anywhere.

wierd, i just found it in the editor, and in the game...

dudee with some research I have found out that this is an AVA map. If you play the AVA at all that is probably where you got it from. This map looks as though it was created in 11/2006 and it does not look like it ever made it to the download page. Look in your ahiiterrains folder in the aces high 2 folder and see if the exe file is in there.

don't the terrains need to be installed from an exe file. that is the way that they are downloaded from the download page. Then they have to be installed from there. Iwas not aware that you could just download the .res file that would be sufficient.

the .exe file may be an auto installer...all you do is plop the .res file into the terrains folder though.

ok dudee did you find the res file it should be labeled pto_1 in the ahiiterrain folder. which is located in the aces high folder.

have you clicked on that compatability files button near top of window?

that is the way i got my files to show in ther like they do in xp. because i had a hard time finding my settings folder and several others when i got my first vista computer.
