Spring has came and with it the evil beings from beyond descended upon this far land. (My cove)
They seem to come this time of the year. Their evilness blossoms this time of year along with the flowers.
They appear as if magic from the void. But I am ready...always ready. Watchful over the empire.
Ever watchful and diligent in anticipation of the attack from beyond I spotted 3 then 4 of the enemy cruising the area. I suspected enemy scouts probing the perimeter.
I donned my battle gear, ( A Harley T and sweats), laid in supplies (Iced tea and smokes), took inventory of of ammo (450 rounds of .177 Precision Max.)
I took up a position of advantage over their evilness ( A lawn chair).
I was ready to do battle.
The first always seems to be the hardest. I believe it has to do with the anticipation and giddiness of first contact.
In came the first creature from the abyss.
Plink.....plink.......SPLAT. The first falls to my weapon.
Plink.....SPLAT. Head shot......the same as if dealing with Zombies.
I was in the groove now. Blood thirsty and pumped for battle.
SPLAT!!!!!!! Number 3 takes it`s place in history along with many before him. The evilness never seems to stop.
The last of the scouts was more cautious now. Biding it`s time and planning I`m sure. I suspected I was dealing with a being of higher rank, intelligence and experience.
I would not be deterred nor swayed. I stood my ground......well actually sat my ground.
I taunted and dared.
He fell for it and in he came...full steam. PLINK.............I overshot.
Quick reload and SPLAT.
I waited and watched, but nothing. No more dared to enter the killing field.
I will be watching....waiting. I am ready. They are frightened and awed by their enemy I`m sure.
The small empire is safe again. Women smiled and children marveled at their protector.
I`m sure there will be a gathering with much food and drink in celebration.
