He is a preacher, that's what preachers do!! Geesh, he isn't running for office. He was giving a Sunday sermon. Sorry that he had emotion in his speech, that is his style. You shouldn't be so focused on him dancing, but rather on what he said.
So, you want me to focus on what "Rev." Wright says? Fine. Here is what "Rev." Wright has to say:
Jeremiah Wright said the following yesterday,
"I do not in any way disagree with James Cone. Jim is a personal friend of mine."
If whiteness stands for all that is evil, blackness symbolizes all that is good. "Black theology," says Cone, "refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community … Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy."
So, Jeremiah Wright, Obama's spiritual advisor, the man Obama wouldn't disavow, the man who married Obama, who Obama exposed his children to, who Obama uses as a "sounding board", does "not in any way disagree" with the man who says,
"If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community … Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy."Now, Obama DOES NOT disavow "Rev." Wright, and by that, he DOES NOT disavow James Cone. That's Obama, the "uniter", who "transcends race".
So now that I've focused on what "Rev." Wright has to say, are you satisfied and happy with that?
