Nah, if you want a scray movie that breaks the rules with the worst ending of any modern movie made, check out "The Mist".  The ending to that movie is just wrong.

I'm not into this stuff and wouldn't bother to watch it, but I did look it up on wiki; dang you're right that ending is just wrong!

Fixed the link.

HOWEVER I wouldn't go and read it if you plan on seeing the movie. It will ruin it for you.

I haven't seen "The Mist" I might have to check it out.

What I meant by breaking rules is stuff like little kids getting killed, and mothers in labor being killed and all that. Some of the more "taboo" things in cinema.

I didn't mention the "evolution" of the Alien was interesting. They alluded to it before in 3 with the alien coming from the dog and being "different" as Ripley put it in the movie. They alluded to the alien takes on some traits of the host that births it, and that's an interesting premise. Alson in 4 with the genetically engineered queen. Imagine all manner of creatures on earth spawning different iterations of the alien? Lions, Manatees, Horses, Gorillas... that would be some sight.

73, you should definitely see the Mist. I agree that they had it pegged on the people... and the ending... awe, man... the ending was a just a screamer.

AvP was bad enough. AvPR is definitely chomping at the stupid bit.  They should've just made an AvP based on the Dark Horse comic series.

I'm not going to go see it, reason being:

Alien: awesome sci-fi thriller
Aliens: one of my favorite movies!  "game over man, game over!"  could just watch it over and over again!
Aliens 3:  watchable, but in my opinion this is where the whole thing shoulda ended

Alien Resurection: barf

Alien vs Predator: pg 13?  who the hell let them make a pg13 aliens movie?

this newest one had my hopes up with the R rating but now that I know the plots crap and it has crummy acting I'll just leave it alone.  Why ruin the series in my mind anymore?

Seems to me that "The Mist" ending is pretty much just like "Thinner".   You thought it was going to end happily then BAM.....boot to the head!
