« on: April 29, 2008, 05:35:57 PM »
Ok...been playing and practicing like crazy....And this last week and a half...been playing welllllll....very well....So today I tee'd it up with the guys I play with and couldn't really get a fair match...So I told em I'd play them 3 against me. Their best ball against my score.

Here's thier score....

3 4 4 3 5 4 3 4 3 = 33  4 4 3 4 4 3 4 4 5 = 35 68 3 under

My Score....

4 4 5 2 5 4 3 3 3 = 33  3 3 2 4 4 3 4 6 4 = 33 66 5 under

LOLOLOL they were

As you can see I beat em pretty good.....6 birdies in a row will help tho

Who was keeping score?

I agree you won but you need to check your math or typing skills ... or theirs? ;)

Out winter browns are just turning green again. Time to get out the orange practice balls ... they show up well in the snow. :D:D:D

With those scores you could turn pro...or are you already a pro?

I played two rounds this weekend.

My driving and approach shots are really starting to come around, but my putting kept my scores high.  Couldn't sink a putt in either round.

Rounds like that can be hair pullers. On the other hand just take some good from hitting it better and work on your putting a bit.

I'm generally the opposite; My driving sucks, short game is good, putting is great.
I'm going out this Sunday with my neighbor at dark-thirty just so I don't feel embarassed. Since kids, I've played about 5 times. I used to be a 14 handicap (not bad for a redneck...)

Nice loops top!

I'm up to 7 rounds this year.

1.) A number that shall not be named, starts with a "9" and included a new personal record 5 lost golf balls.  On my old home course no less!  :furious
2.) 87 http://www.darbycreekgolf.com/sites/courses/view.asp?id=423&page=12111
3.) 84 http://www.lakemichiganhills.com/
4.) 85 http://www.berrienhills.com/
5.) 82 http://www.tattersallgolfclub.com/layout9.asp?id=161&page=2652
6.) 74 (doesn't really count, was a Par 68) http://www.calntownship.org/index.asp?Type=B_BASIC&SEC={1352C162-0D6D-466F-AEAF-32C5EE06C1AA}
7.) (today) 77 with a loaner putter, demo driver and shared my co-pilot's clubs since I left mine at home. http://www.eagleslandinggolfclub.net/home/index.php

The best part is, 5 of the 7 went on the company card!  :rock

I've had more fun than I could imagine as opposed to being a better than 2 handicap once upon a time and having no fun whatsoever.  That's not stopping me from going to the driving range a few times to look for what I once had  :D  It's coming around though, like riding a bike.  Course management is still there, putting is zeroing in and my tee ball is finding the fairway.  Middle irons and touch around the greens is still on vacation and an up/down turned 2 putt is where I'm adding strokes.  Hitting poor iron and approach shots is putting me into that position.
