Checking 6 with Track IR

There has to be an easier setting than the default.  Flying some planes is impossible, like the Corsair, as you have absolutely no six view unless you turn and lean to the opposite direction, which is quite counter intuitive and throws your SA out of whack.  Has anyone figured out a work-around for this problem?

I do have a tough time flying corsairs as well.  Maybe this profile will seem better, but not perfect for you.

I programed my hat switch so that when it's used it turns off the TrackIR and then reengages and centers it when it's released.  I simply use the hat switch to check my six.  It took me over a week to figure out how to program the CH stick to do that.  I had to use all the advanced programs of CH Control Manager in order to do it.

You can try out the "relative view" option for TIR... somewhere in the AH settings.

I use a version of Mace's profile that someone else modified. I have less problems with some planes than others. I can actually see the entire rudder in F4u's by turning left or right and rising just a bit, up and back view is still a bit tough, I generaly look up and twist sideways for a better view...

Getting the right profile helps 100%. I was ready to shelve it when I lucked upon this profile on a squad link in here. Make sure you do not have true view enabled for your tracking method in the Motion section when you edit your profile (mine has vector chosen). This should get rid of the leaning in the opposite direction. I can email the one I use as well if you want to try a couple out, just PM me. Good luck.

Using TrackIR if I want check 6 by looking over my left shoulder in game, I just turn my head to the left and lean slightly right to look around and behind the seat and vertical stabilizer just as if I was trying to look over my left shoulder while peering around an object behind me like in real life. 

If I want to check my 6 by looking over my right shoulder I just turn my head right and lean slightly left. 

As Blauk says try the "TrackIR Object Relative Move" setting in AH.  It's under Preferences-->View Options I believe.  Here's the menu as listed in the AH help:

With that selected (or unselected) it reverses which way you have to lean when looking over your shoulder.  Find the setting that's most unintuitive / natural for you.  For me I like mimicking the natural motion that I would have done in real life.

The relative view setting is the right way to set it up if you want it to be like real life that is..... In other words look around to the right and lean right to see around the right side of the seat.
