Yes, the wire I bought had the connector already attached.. from what I remember, it is green, black, red and only fits in one port on the main board.

I've completely seperated the board from the wiring, epoxy and joystick cables. I've had no success getting it to operate once again... I didn't get a chance to call CH today but I will do so tomorrow.

Well darn.  I felt sure it was the USB cable.  I really don't think the putty did any harm but I sure am scratching my head over what could have caused such a thing.  I have been pretty rough with those things and they seem almost indestructible (relatively speaking).  This really is a mystery.
