What dolo said. We want to represent the bombers forming up over england...
So the bombers wont get harrassed forming up, but they get no resuply of escorts either.. We want to see the big battle so the LW gets to form up for the first pass. Any LW pilots can respawn..
If we let the fight start in the target country at alt then there should be minimum spawning attrition, IE the Escorts will have to decide whether to engage those Hi 109s at the border or try to push through to be there for the big hit befor the target..
That is why I thought the lower ceiling  on the buffs. I would want the LW to get one HO in ... There is no way they are going to stop the bombers, would be interesting to see the results. Also 25k allows the interceptors to re launch for the flight home.
We could have a B26 Camera plane on each side to film the whole thing....
Do you think enough people would be willing to fly the buffs?

Ever heard of LW using roketens on the first pass?  Get anywhere near that many close flying buffs and yer bound ta hit at least one of em.    Of course, those .50's will chew you up shortly there after. hehehe

Oh, yes, I've heard of the mortars carried by the 190's... curious, has anyone effectively used them in AH? I confess I have not, but I'm pretty sure I could never get a 190 to 30K to find out, and that is my point.

Look, I don't mind the overwhelming numerical odds; I don't mind having to face escort with superior performance; what I would mind is facing the prospect of chasing planes with a ceiling 10K above mine and not having a chance to intercept. Likewise, I don't want to be a buff spitting on the heads of the helpless LW below, knowing the fight was won before we ever "engaged".
