I am referring to words used like STIR, PORKED, and UNDEFENDED, all of which are still in English.

Try is the key word.  It is more like UN-translating badly translated gibberish.

As for learning something......German has been spoken in my household for longer than I have been around, and still is.  The only thing I learned is that there must be some crappy English to German translator sites out there.

By this I assume you mean born and raised, and not 1st or 2nd generation.
