I guess someone has to mention The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

When they hit the London music scene in 1966/67,they destroyed everyone..The Beatles,Stones,The Who,Cream,Jeff Beck,Yardbirds etc.

That's just... wow.

Anyway, Radiohead, Tool, Pink Floyd. Love a lot of classic rock, and some alternative and more contemporary stuff, but those are the top three by a good margin.

If you're posting on this forum, you owe it to yourself to check out Corb Lund (he's a Canuck, so we should all thank Thrawn, since they all know each other up there).

I wanna be in the Calvary:

Horse Soldier! Horse Soldier! (live)

The live version of Horse Soldier doesn't do it justice, though the comment that "[This song] is for all the nerds like me who stay up all night watching world war II documentaries" The line "with a crack flanking manuever, I'm an Ulahn Alles Uber striking terror into regiments afoot" makes me awful proud.

It may be splitting hairs, but its much more folk (think Johnny Horton and/or Wood Guthrie)
