Range Channel Generals
« on: May 25, 2008, 09:18:27 AM »
After a long break I am back and loving the new changes and additions in AH2-Kudos to HT and staff for such a fantastic value.

I will add without beating it to much anymore a Range channel mute option is really needed and would be a very nice useful feature IMO

Dear lord you newbs please stop with the Range Channel bullying, Stop keying up to laugh to be heard, use the text option for nonsense.

That is the only negative feature of the current game the Range channel Generals, its like that 8 year old bottle of $3 champagne thats stuck to the bottom shelf of the fridge everyone turns thier nose at but nobody will clean it up and throw it out.

I understand about the squelch player option but its to cumbersome to use while flying and what I am hoping to see is a mute range <period> option that is a one shot permanent deal  like .mute range .unmute range... whatever...

All best

TJ

It isn't even the "general public" all the time
In my squad, I often have to tune radio 5 to something other than squad because the running commentary that goes on makes it impossible to hear anything else.   Blah Blah Blah- When are you going to shut up?.

And most of it is whining or bragging about something

I would like a better GUI where I could just click on the planes flying around the field and mute them.  Its tough if you're a bad typer and your trying to dodge AA at a field.

Id like to be able to squelch range and a permanent squelch option.

I too detune my squad channel when they go overboard. Not only because it can be annoying when trying to hear others or other gvs, but also because some of the guys are hillarious and its hard flying when you ar LYAO and stuff comes flying out your nose covering the monitor :lol

My faves are the Vulch Queens. I dont vulch much but I often hear them while Im trying to take a town down, or, dropping on GVs.

The Vulch Queens like to control the vulch. I once heard one such Queen actually assigning runway kills to individual airplanes.

And Vulch Queens dont like it when someone vulches a baby seal they consider their own. Boy, they shriek when that happens.

I try and avoid the vulch sessions all around. Probably one of the reasons my rank sucks.

Now a reasonable base cap while guys are taking a town down quickly for capture? And the guys are respectful and utilizing good teamwork? Different story!

Range Generals, we talking the ones that give you play by play and squeak by squeak? Yeah I know those.

<Insert Random Squeaker General Name here> is perfect example - First time was only proof I needed that squelch system should be automatic (as in every time you login the person stays squelched untill you unban the person)

Personally I like to let everyone in area know whats around us, as most don't But This is far from being a range general,
by letting people know there's a P51 up High or Tiffy on the deck - Gives people little help when most have Limited SA.

Ohh please HT, in the name of sanity, please give us clickie buttons for squelching individuals or the full range -box and this with permanent setting until you unsquelch them yourself.

Umm... I don't think so.

Out of 148 kills for me so far this camp 6 have been vulch kills.

Don't delude yourself.
