Evaluation of a new concept for Check 6 Events
« on: November 15, 2000, 04:56:00 AM »
Hyas folks !

In the past the Check 6 events were basically a historical matchup of aircraft with only very limited background and objectives. The idea behind this was to more or less recreate a historical arena for a few hours, but there were no given objectives.

Now it seemed that the previous Check 6 events were not all too popular (attendance wise), contributing to this could have been the time slot which was basically for US pilots only.

Now the that the timeslot has moved to Sunday afternoon (evening for the EUROS) we hope to have more turnout of attendees.

Another step to enhance the Check 6 events was in the change of the basic concept from:
No objectives fly as you like against historically matched up A/C (as far as possible), to a more structured style with given objectives and win conditions, that more closely resembles the current Snapshots but in a multi-frame layout.

The first "evaluation" event will be

STALINGRAD - Turning point on the eastern front

This scenario is supposed to run in 3 Frames a 2 hours, please tell me what you think of the proposed change and the write up.

Thanks

Sounds great! WIll try to make it.    I think the addition of objectives will raise the staked and up the "pucker factor" in these
