I assume most of you saw the anti-Hillary diatribe by the Catholic Priest, the Rev. Michael Pfleger....made when he was a guest speaker at Trinity United.  That infantile, ignorant spiel made the right-reverend Pfleger a Youtube phenomenon.

His explanation for why he went off in such an ignorant fashion?  He didn't know the cameras were rolling.  Trinity's live streaming, he stated, had been down all day, and he assumed they were still down....sooo....he believed what he said would be confined to just that congregation.   :rofl

Evidently, Obama's protestations to the contrary notwithstanding, this sort of thing is old-hat for that church.

The right-reverend concluded his explanation with these words:  "It's a dangerous time in the United States, when one's personal thoughts must be whispered."   :rofl :rofl :rofl

Gee....I didn't realized the man was whispering.

when you watch the clip, don't look at Pfleger, look at the reaction of people behind him.

I don't have a problem with his message.  I don't have a problem with the message was excitedly applauded by the congregation.  I don't have a problem with obama being a long time member of that organization.  I do have a problem with osama denying he likes what is preached at this congregation.  I would have greater respect for him if he would just up and speak his mind.  it's not like everyone doesn't know how he generally views the world.

I have a several problems with his message.  He's pandering to the crowd, denouncing one type of entitlement while promoting another.  He's stereotyping whites, lumping them all together as closet racists and beneficiaries of discrimination and entitlement.  He's demanding respect for Obama while denigrating his opponent.  He's a white man pathetically trying to be black.  He's swearing from the pulpit (Which seems to be par-for-the-course at that church) and that I find offensive.

None of which has anything to do with the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

what you post is 100% correct he was doing as you say.  I don't have a problem with any of it.  he's a catholic priest and he probably has no clue as to what the gospel of jesus christ is.  if you want to see the gospel of jesus christ being spread I fear you will need to leave the west and and visit a chinese congregation or hang out in darfur.  collectively we in the west stopped spreading the gospel of jesus christ long ago if indeed we ever did in the first place.

This guy is a screwball from way back. A priest shouldnt be addicted to fame and thats what this guy is.

And I dont know how a catholic priest got away with adopting two little boys.

I don't think he adopted 2 boys - i think it was the priest at the church he took over after the priest retired,
but i agree this guy is a flake - he has done a lot of good for the people in that neighborhood/church - but he sure likes to fan the flames of racism...he pushes the buttons of everyone - and according to the archdiocese rules was supposed to transfer out of there awhile ago - but has threatened to quit the priesthood and start his own congregation there himself - i say good riddance - he causes more racial problems than he stops -
