Unfinished cockpits
« on: June 04, 2008, 09:56:38 AM »
Why is it that some of our planes and ground vehicles have unfinished cockpits and other are quite detailed, I am wondering why this is, does anybody have feedback on this subject.
Thank You

It has to do with which aircraft have been upgraded to what some would call "Combat Tour" quality.  All aircraft in game will eventually have the additional detail and artwork, but there are only so many the HTC staff can complete at any given time.  There are regular updates to the game with new or improved aircraft/vehicle updates and again eventually all aircraft will be brought up to that standard.

I think they were both good additions.

Not all of the planes have been upgraded to AH2's graphic standards yet.  Usually with each feature update a group of planes will get upgraded to AH2 graphics.  With a small development team, these upgrades to the AH2 graphic standards is taking a little longer to get rolled out.

In a few years, I would think the conversion of all the planes to AH2 graphics will be almost complete.  Then they'll start out on the 6 year process of converting those planes again to AH3's graphic standards.

I use water colors on my monitor to upgrade the ones AH hasn't gotten to yet. Sure it makes it hard to fly but i just need that eye candy. :rofl
Actually i don't keep my head in the cockpit enough to really notice anything new until someone says something. Guess i'm a seat of the pants type flier as i spend more time looking for bad guys, calling up clipboard to check dar signatures/bars and stuff like that, as well as constantly looking around me.
HT and some of their elves are working hard to update all the planes but well, that rebate check only goes so far. :lol

you guys will most likely see European Theater planes updated first (262, typh, temp, mossie, 163, P-40s) Or atleast the ones that were involved with the 8th Airforce up to a certain point. With each update, I think HTC will update 2 or 3 8th AF models, then update a PTO aircraft.

Thats just what I think HTC will do before CT comes out. It's been about 2 years since they announced it, so we'll see it within the next year or 2.  :aok

I definitely agree with that. Some cockpits are unfinished. I think it will be great for the AH people to finish the cockpits. Great Post!  :salute
