Ah yes!  The famous Marine chain letter!    This was passed around several times over the years but the year is always changed as well as the name..  This time it's Aaron.  Believe me, having served my country, I can understand the patriotic feelings that are brought to the surface by a chain letter like this..  But, in reality, it is what it is..  A chain letter. 

Just curious, how many of you guys giving the salutes have actually served (and how many in a war zone)?

Udorn ..the 432nd, affectionately known as 'The Mig Killers' ..Fall of Saigon and other frolics.
Seymour-Johnson .. little outfit known as the 4th Tac Fighter Group, smoked the Aggressors on first ops, Red Flag '81.
Taegu ..the 51st .. we were FEBA in our hangars.. shortest ORI's I have ever been a part of.

I served as well.  All 4 years that was in active duty were in the trenches of what was known back then as the "cold war".  Didn't have to fire a shot to be in that one.
