one hint from a noob 109 pilot (me) regarding torque in stall manouvers.
Auto combat trim does not account for the increased torque effect caused by turning on the WEP. You will notice in something very stable like a spitfire mkV that if you leave the stick go flying level with the WEP off she will stay reasonably level, but hit the WEP on and she will roll off with the torque.
So when you are getting into a stall turn or trying to hang righ up there at 10mph in your 109k4 you want to switch the WEP off for maximum control. Those are the moments when half-seconds count for win or lose, you really will hang up there or reverse that stall turn much better with the WEP off. This is assuming of course that one is not using manual trim in most situations.
Dont fight the torque when you are very slow, if you want to roll the opposite way but the torque wont let you you MUST recognise the situation in advance and change your flight plan to include the possibilty that rolling 270* the other way being faster than 90* against the torque.
In 109s Torque are very imporant. I think almost one of the Key feature of the 109, at least for this game. In a stall fight when you need to nose over and roll down, if you have the wrong torque setting it could delay you for a good 5 sec to nose over. Which is a long time in combat. For me, when I'm edge of stalling, and I need to roll left I hit Wep. For rolling to the right at edge of stall I chop throttle then roll, once I'm facing where I wanna go I hit go full throttle again.
