Deadband bug...pretty big..
« on: June 08, 2008, 10:18:46 PM »
I was playing around with the deadband feature trying to eliminate some of this rather questionable twitchy behavior of the 190d9...

Then I noticed, the more you move your deadband up, the less overall roll rate you get.

I think this is a pretty huge thing because deadband is an adjustment of our individual joysticks.  A more 'tense' joystick suffers less from the jitters and thus needs less deadband adjust and conversely, receives a better roll rate.

I'm sure this will go ignored by the devs, but I figured I would post this to let people know that if you set your deadband pretty high to reduce the hand jitters, you are reducing your fighter capabilities.

deadband gives a "dead zone" at default position of stick. the more deadband the bigger the zone. if you give alot of deadband you then have to move your stick farther to get a response, which i would think would real screw with your scaling.
