I'm really not impressed. In fact I was quite turned off by a lot of what I saw. Spit Vs and Hurr Mk.IIBs against 109Es and 110Cs? The ribs on the tail of the hurricanes are super-pronounced, when on the real thing are more like facets than ribs.
On top of that, you see the Hurr2 using FULL rudder deflection back and forth in succession, and all it is doing is making him roll perfectly, no yaw at all. You see a Hurr2 with a large portion of its wing blown away (only the frame visible, seeing through to the other side) and yet the flap behind it is still attached, and the plane is pulling hard moves as if there's nothing wrong. Meanwhile, while hurricanes are slamming rudder nonstop, the spitfires are pulling the same moves with no rudder deflection at all.
The game physics are (as with all IL2) laughably sad.
What *DID* impress me was the advances in lighting. The lighting in the begining and final shots were very impressive, but I don't know if these were in-game cut-scenes or anything like that.
P.S. As for the terrain: It's a step up from the normal Ubi terrain, but still has the same feel of old IL2: generated tiles butting into each other, semi-random patterns but mostly the same. Yes, I agree that this terrain in the footage looked better than AH, but overall that's a minor point when there are so many other problems with the game.
