http://shaunlunt.typepad.com/Shaun Lunt, an anesthesiologist from Loma Linda was killed in his super Cub Friday in a stall/spin accident in Quinhagak, Alaska. His friend and instructor, Loni Habersetzer, observed the crash from his own cub while they were circling a whale skeleton.
Dr Lunt was a remarkable bush pilot, and his photos of remote Alaska are phenomenal. You can see them at shaunlunt.typepad.com That is truly tragic. I've enjoyed Shaun's photography, and vicariously traveled with him in Alaska. How unforgiving our sport.
Shaun was my good friend. He lived life with passion. He will be deeply missed.

Flight is freedom in its purest form,
