For the Record
« on: June 20, 2008, 02:51:40 PM »
As the Axis tend to be quite out numbered on average, we'll normally be flying German for the remainder of the BoA.  However, when the 484th and 100th are running a joint Allied bombing mission (normally one night a week) we might be escorting them instead depending on the numbers.  It's for this reason we haven't requested access to either the Allied or Axis team forums.

Switching sides is somewhat frowned upon...

Much rather have you here on Axis 24/7  :aok

I don't see any problem with switching sides as long as:

1) You have no access to either side's forums.
2) No information will be forwarded to opposing side concerning location of bases and which equipment is available on either side.
3) It's a team effort put in regardless of which side you're flying for.
4) You're not there to chase down or fight specific people, or to ruin other players' experience.

If all that is fulfilled.  :aok

thus the reason I haven't signed up for either side.  Can't commit to a time schedule so I'll go where the low numbers are and see what happens :D

Whatever side we fly for, we give it 100% effort.

Last night there was only a couple of Axis and over 20 Allies. Thats the only reason we switched. We prefer to be flying Jugs/Mustangs escorting bombers, but if theres no opponents, we'll be in 109s/190s.

Since there is to be  no rule on side switching, which negates any planning imo, we'll be flying with our escorts the 78th Razorbacks for the numbers. This will put us on the Axis or Allied side which ever the numbers dictate. There are a few members in our group who no longer need access to the Allied forums. That would be myself, rossco302, and loboxx.

See you in the unfriendly skies.

I guess 109 and 190's are not as good running.   :aok :lol

Trukk,  :salute sir.  No matter what side, I will vouch for the 78th.  No worries about shady play from that group. :aok

Besides, I have already seen folks peeking, I don't imagine they will stop now.  The only real scoundrels are the ones who would give out ongoing mission information.  Even if they had forewarning of an attack and on what field, a mission can survive and even be more challenging.  It's the real time snitches that are on one country and broadcast to another that could be a problem.  So far, I will say that we have little worries there.

Maybe the arena is just not as attractive to snoopers anymore since we are not trying to capture airfields. My two pennies.

Side balancing is not a bad idea, having a squad willing to do it is a plus.

Thanks for the kind words Chilli.  For us, the AvA is all about realistic encounters within the context of the "war".  What side we fly for is secondary.
