Squad Rankings, 5 Active Member Minimum for Eligibility?

Hey Ronni

I just looked at the squad rankings for the first time since you went over to the new format.

Very nice.

Now, I'm not a "score" type of person, but I thought it strange that of the top 5 squads, two of them had 5 members or less, and of the top 10 squads, 3 or 4 of them had 5 members or less.

Those aren't squads   those are exclusive boys clubs designed to put their name in the top rankings.  

Even if your only above average pilots, if theres only two or three of you, its easy to get ranked high compared to 30 people squads that have people of all skill levels.

Anyways.... I would suggest that you have some minimum number of active pilots (flown 5 sorties this tour) to qualify for the squad rankings. My suggestion would be 5-7.

No staga it means a squad is a squad, not 2 pilots trying to get to the top of the heap.

Go look at the rankings and you will see what I'm talking about.

In our squad there is only two fellows; Jochen and me.
What I can say is we both try to kill as many Rooks and Bishes as we can and also destroy your bases if possible (looks like we have succeeded doing that too  ).
 
Why do you want to close us out from squad rankings ?

The trend I've seen is this:

If you have more in your squad, your overall squad performance is lower due to 4 or 5 that may be 'new' or not as experienced, thus bringing the overall avg down.  Squads that have fewer players have done well from what I've witnessed since coming to AH.

But, rankings mean nothing to me, since I know who's number 1 in my heart, the friends that I fly with!

Gee Staga, looks like we should step up the recruiting efforts a bit! :-O

Well vermin, if your squad does not rank well in global competition I suggest streamlining your organization. Let underachievers go and concentrate to your squads main focus areas and improving competence level of your existing core staff.

Is this squad ranking a new feature? I havent seen it earlier. Quite suprise my little squad was that high

Ya its silly.
one mad squads in the rankings. 2 man squads..
The squad rankings are for SQUADS.
Guys that have not flown should count as the lowest in every catagory.
If you dont have 8 guys your score should have lowest score for the guys your missing.
IE 2 guys get 6 lowest score equivilents added to their roster.
The squad page has to be intended to show how good a GROUP of players you can get together and develop. Not wether you and your buddy are hot sticks. And not whether you personaly are Booky!...bugger...

Personally I dont give a toejam about rankings so if its so tough place for some of you guys to not see your squad in a top-ten keep on whining and maybe HTC changes the way to count rankings.
Its little bit amusing to look how ppl want to change rules to fit in their own agenda

The AKs used to believe that squads should be ranked on cumulative length.  Unfortunately, we were still losing to 2 man squads... so we like the current system better.

Ya sure you dont care Staga. I find it a bit ammusing that you and your buddy get rated as a squad by a loop hole and you get in here and defend the status quo cause the status quo says you have great squad. You don't, you have a great wingman. We have one pilot with 2 canceled accounts and himself in a squad as the top ranked squad and you dont see a problem? Can we at least agree that there should be more then one active pilot in a squad?

I had no idea 1 member aquads were even in the rankings and they should not be, no way.

Was there not a minimum limit awhile back for a squad to be ranked?

I thought it was 7 members at least.

How bout different categories...

1. Squads with 5-10 members
2. Squads with 10-20 member
3. Squads with above 20 members

I have to agree that *squads* with 1-2 members competing with 20 member squads is pitched in favor of the two wingmen.

I'm sure ronni will figure it out. This is a small task for her.
