Who are they?  Do we need them?  Regardless of your answer, what are you going to do about it?

Reguardless, he had balls.  He got shot once, and his speech papers were so thick it stopped the bullet.  He went ahead with his speech.

That's great. 50 cent got shot 8 times. Still went ahead with the rapping.

Maybe we should elect him king.

2 things wrong with your suggestion:

Teddy was not elected in the campaign in which he was shot.

and 'you don't vote for kings.'

the robber barons of roosevelt's eras did far more good than harm to the nation.  one of those players from that time was henry morrison flagler.  he was one of the founders of standard oil of ohio and the the person who was the intellect behind the meteoric rise of that company, the embodiment person for whom the sherman anti trust act was written.  his lasting legacy is the east coast of the state of florida and the florida keys.  with his own money he singlehandedly built the florida east coast railway making the developement of south florida and the florida keys possible.  he also brought in many workers from the bahamas and cuba to perform the difficult work of building the overseas railway.  many of those workers remained in keys and in miami making south florida the vibrant and diverse community it is today,  thank you mr flagler I'm glad you were able to do such great things.

Let's do not muddy up the waters with trivial things, such as facts.

Seems to be a severely polarizing subject though.

Yup.  And some people still believe that FDR was one of the greatest things to happen to this country.
