McCain, what did he say?
« on: June 12, 2008, 08:07:17 AM »
McCain seems to be having a little trouble remembering whats going on.  Hard to believe he won the primary.

Anybody can be made to look bad with sound bytes.... anybody. I really hope that the people remember last election and rage against the machines making crap like this an issue. I was disgusted by the denegration of the military service of Kerry, and I will be equally disgusted by the denegration of McCain's service, or the BS innuendo smear tactics started against McCain and Obama.

I agree, If this had anything to do with McCains military record, I wouldn't have posted it.

I'm way over done with the "look how stupid so and so looks."  Either side.  Thinking quick on one's feet is great in sports.  I prefer a deliberative approach to governance.

Maybe you should go find the sound bite of Obama stammering like Bush over a health care question. You know to be fair and balanced.

Will be interesting to see the videos made of people hammering Obama. People like Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, and other democrats. Of course to review the outrageous comments of his spiritual mentor for the better part of 20 years should be off limits. Hmmmm, then again, maybe not. Maybe his wife shouldn't be a target either. Unless of course she claims she has been ashamed to be an American all of her life or something like that.

Perhaps we should just forget about all the negative stuff said and revealed about Obama as he was fighting Hillary for the nomination and let him stand on his own voting record. He did vote while in the Senate didn't he?

Obama is nowhere near mature enough or experienced enough for the job of President.  Obama's poor handling of his pastors racist and hateful anti American beligerance at the pulpit speaks volumes about Obamas shallow character, especially when compared to McCain.

McCain has my vote.  And my wifes vote, and my daughters vote, and my mothers vote and both my sisters and brother in law.  And a few others as well.  Im hopeful most americans will be able to come to the best conclusion this fall and vote McCain into the office of President.  Obama just isnt up to the task, never will be.

I like the way American politics is going.  It seems fine to me that electing a leader based on You tube and cheap shot non context sound bites can only have an upside.

Damn a reasoned discussion of the real issues.

From your rag:

"The original GI Bill — signed into law in 1944 — was one of the most important laws ever adopted by Congress. It transformed the nation after World War II with generous college benefits, stipends, subsidized mortgages, business loans and job training and placement.

Veterans got free rides to any college that would accept them. Tuition, books, housing and living expenses were all covered,"

Whoa!

The GI Bill I enjoyed by joining the USAF in 1973 was good but nothing like what they cite. I believe I fell under the same bill they are referring to. It did change later. I was entitled to 36 months of coverage which paid me approx $500 per month while going to school. Hardly enough to cover my tuition, books, housing, or any other living expenses. If they can't even get that right, assuming they aren't outright lying, can we believe anything else in the article???

Who McCain is, a peron whom I have known about, read about, listened to and watched for many, many years tends largely to be weighted positively against who Obama is, a newcomer, a highly inexperienced talkative child in comparrison to a seasoned experienced adult McCain.  Its an easy choice for me personaly.

As far as McCain opposing a beefed up GI bill.......I'll study it.  Chances are theres more to the story, alot more, than the single article you link to.

It all boilds down to this.

We are at war, i dont need change in america, i dont need change with this, and a new that..What i need to a ex soldier who knows how to take care of his people, his soldiers, his duty as an american.
I want someone whos been a p.o.w. who knows the tragitys that can come with war.

I do NOT want some america changin' loud mouth who has no idea of what sacrifice truely is.

Im goin' for the white haired old guy who gives a dang about his country, not some first time history makin' loud mouth.
Whos leaders while growing up turn out to be nut job american hatin' psychos.

"You wanna change somethin' osamabama? drop 50,000 more american troop into iraq and finish this crap once and for all, change it BACk to how we use to have war in the good ol days of old, upto your necks in pissed off over seas americans. Then make them surrender unconditional, or make em' suck a nuke."

Mccain for presedent.
