Not being careful, I dove on some bombers in a 262 once starting the dive with too much speed, she shook at the most twice then compressed.  I flew right past the bombers and straight into the ground.  It was all very pleasant and serene as I cordially flew by and planted 262 seeds into the cartoon countryside.

I saw a high Nikki, I was in a F4U, and dragged him a bit away from the other high cons. I make a half arse climb and bank thinking it's a newb and he splits me in half. It was A8nisky, anyone else it wouldn't have been so funny.

The screenshot makes it look like that.. I'm doing about 130 and ruddering downwards, and the A20 about 200 when the shot goes off.  He does get to only 23 yards away at the snapshot, but tbh the really hard part isn't getting that close, it's landing the shot.  Just a fraction of a second of hesitation, or if the trim is just a bit off, or if you move the nose just a few degrees off, the shot doesn't connect and you die for it.  In that shot the bullet goes by maybe 5-10inches from the nose.
Thanks, though :)

Last night in AVA I up a pony away from the furball, set autoclimb, and go get a beer, talked to my kid for a second and walked back in the office noticing a dot somewhat close to me.  Grab my trackir, headset, slap them on and hit the joystick causing instaspin lost most of my alt and E trying to recover but managed to gain control right in front of the guy who, very cheerfully and economically, proceeded to dispatch my dumb ### back to the tower.

At a Vbase, we're defending.. "anyone watching the maproom?" someone asks...

Yep.. I was sitting right next to it with my Ostie, hull gun covering it too...

within 2 minutes, as I'm distracted shooting at some low flying bombers, the base is captured. LOL I wasn't paying attention and someone drove up troops right behind me.

Back on Mindanao in AH1 we were attempting to capture A42.   We went NOE from A27 which was about 5-6 sectors away.   I'm one of two goons and I get there first.    I open the doors and get ready to drop troops and instead of hearing "Geronimo" from the drunks, I hear silence.   I brought Supplies.    I believe SHawk might have been there.

I was not so much embarrassed, as I was pissed off that I let my teammates down.   But, I laugh my arse off in hindsight.

I like to play around on VOX.

For example:

When I bring troops to the map room I yell out.....oh toejam, I accidently brought supplies.

Or when I'm in a mission I once asked if flying inside of a plane for 30 seconds would increase its overall speed by 10 mph. Some guy tried this and replied that it worked for him. I looked over and watched a few others try this. ROFL.

Or I like to call Hurricane's Denzels. The reason is that Denzel starred in that boxing movie called "Hurricane"

Or I will object to killing churches in town because of religious purposes.

I'm weird.

well, seeing as it's a game, I don't see any reason to get embarrassed about anything.  That's what's nice about not seeing the person you're talking to.

TwentyFo, if your name is a reference to the TV show, then WTG!!!!!

Also, as to the churches, I've decided that it's perfectly OK to bomb them, as they contain no religious symbols.  No crucifixes = bombs away  (and yes I did use FireFox's spellcheck for that one).

Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

Wasn't Yossarian a character in Catch22?

Anyway, my most embarasing moments are as follows:

Dive in on country mate to clear his 6 of a Mossie. Little bit too much E so I ask him to break him right. I pull up for the snap shot & off comes my tail. Trying to figure out who the heck was on my six that I didn't see I log & check the film. Turns out I made a perfect snap shot on the F6F the Mossie was chasing. KILLSHOTTED myself!!!

Next embarassing moment, I'm up in an F4U-4 crusing around 7k. I see a low alt Il2, drop my tank & proceed down. Open up @ D400 while doing 350 or so & proceed to ping him with 2 guns (forgot to switch secondary back to guns) I then proceed to overshoot (not expecting him to have survived) & he saws my tail off. Good thing about that, I always check what I have selected before engaging now, nothing like firing the 75mm in a B25H when you wanted bombs.

Forget who it was, think PanosGR zipping around in his Yak, I flying a 109k4 tend to get really close to someone before shooting, i.e under 200
to point im seeing 0 on the screen, anyhow at this rage a 30mm is almost an garenteed hit so I fired away, right then he pulls up but the 30mm hits.
His tail flops straight down, his plane straight up - me of course diving the avoid the bigger pieces, ram the tail section and down i go, before i even got kill credit  :furious
