EEEEkkkkk a mouse
« on: June 12, 2008, 05:55:38 PM »
I live in an older apartment house that has lot's of nooks crannies and stuff and really could use remodeled. So today i'm babysitting my neighbors cat again because it got out while she was at work. It started to nose around my closet for some reason so i figure what the heck open the door let her check it out and she'll be happy.

About 15 minutes later she comes trotting into the living room with a mouse in her mouth proud as heck. :O Now either i shoot my landlord or get myself another cat.

P.S. Kitty got half a can of tuna fish as a reward. :D Her kill to death ratio rocks so far. :salute

I have four cats. My youngest cat makes the LTAR's in osties look like 2 week squeekers in June. Flys and spiders last milliseconds from his first cat-dar awareness. He can leap six feet vertical on a lead snatch to be waiting for the fly. Ewwwww fly breath...heheheheeee  :t

My biggest cat is 20lb and intimidates raccoons at the back porch....I had to rescreen with reinforced polyester and vynil pet screening...... :D   Now I just need to get the wife to stop feeling sorry for the "just weaned opposums" every summer and stop feeding them........... "Oh look at the cute littel ears and nose" just don't cut it somehow...... :t

Oh yeah...mice...what mice?????

IN other words a wxMarine would rather suffice to a (P) Kitty than to deal with it like an Army cat?

We had a few rats move in last winter.  We live in an old farm house in farm country, and with all the grain etc rats are fairly common.  Not a big deal really, but nasty as roommates.  The wife wasn't thrilled either.  Ever seen a pizzed off MtnWman?  Poison isn't a great option for me.  My Jack Russell could get into it, or into the rat after they eat the poison.  We also get mice every winter, and I like to use them to feed my birds, so poison isn't good then either.  I generally trap them live and put them into a cage to monitor for a week or two.  If they look good, they're fine for the bird  :aok

We have some cats outside too, but they're confused about their roll in life.  They think they make the porch look good.  And they chase the Jack Russell.  And run away from my bird, hehe!

I found the rats were suckers for peanut butter and sunflower seeds, hehe.  And my bird likes rats too!

Hehe, see my avatar?  That's one.  I'm a licensed falconer, and have birds I catch, train, and hunt with.  Currently a redtailed hawk that I hunt rabbits and squirrels with, and a prairie falcon that will catch ducks and pheasants, etc.
