hmmm like more american planes you mean? like the last TWO planes that were added? in the past almost 2 years i've played this game . I've only ever seen US planes added or updated (with the exeption of the La's ) last year it was the F4 series. this year we had the B25 and P39 added. The Mossie and hurricaine models need updating , along with the lancaster and boston . Historicly important planes such as the Bomber Mossie are ignored . They were important ; pathfinder role was very imortant to RAF bomber command.
Big heavies such as the halifax and sterlin are also missing from the plane set. these were all planes that could carry twice  the ords of the US army airforce  flew more missions maned by men that NEVER went home after a tour. NEVER had a break for more that 5 days. flew a mission almost every day for 6 years.

Sound a little bitter there... Remember that if it wasn't for thoes US planes and pilots the war would of been lost to the axis. No way the brits could win a war by themselfs...you can't win if you have to stop for tea breaks every fifteen minutes while singing God save the Queen. I say the more American planes the better. And update the hellcat. :salute

I'm not sure who should be more insulted, the British or the Americans. This is the stupidest post I've seen here in a while.

In case you didn't understand the post, as you apparently didn't, I was criticizing the History, Discovery, and Military channel, and the ignorance of the average American on the subject of other country's involvement in the war.

edit; looks like you figured it out.

By the way, the young, out numbered, inexperienced British pilots defending their homeland against the Luftwaffe, being the most experienced, technologically advanced, and numerically advantageous air force of the period save the VVS (which was horribly out dated) in the Battle of Britain are in my opinion some of the bravest men to have lived, along with the Luftwaffe RVG units near the end of the war. Both organizations faced impossible odds, the pilots surely knowing they had little chance of surviving the war. Despite this, these brave men strapped themselves into 6000 lbs of fabric, wood, and steel to defend their homeland; many never returned from their missions. The heroic actions of the British airmen were eventually able to drive off the attacking German forces.
Believe it or not, the United States was only one part of the Allied war machine; Britain, the Soviet Union, and our other Allies played an equally large role. If it weren't for those British planes, if it weren't for those Russian planes, if it weren't for those Australian planes, ad nauseum, as well as those American planes, Germany, Italy, Japan and the rest of the Axis forces would have won the war.

Actually, if it hadn't been for the British beating back the Germans during the BOB and holding England - starting the massive Bomber Raids into Germany and thus keeping a two-front & later with the MTO a three-front war going on with German - Russia most likely would have opted out of the war with a peace offering - and the US would have been stuck on the other side of the Ocean with a fine front row seat.

While I doubt the British could have won the war by themselves - they DAMN SURE had a good part in seeing the ALLIES won it.

High Tone - you really should put more thought into posts like that before you hit the POST button. Not only does it make you look like a total bellybutton - it is damn insulting to all those verterans out there that were fighting to keep their Country when you were'nt nothing but an "itch" in your Fathers (or Grandfathers)  pants.

The Meteor was i believe the first allied jet aircraft to see combat and if you think ground attack isnt combat then you should go fly low lever with ack guns trying to fill you full of holes.

Yes there other aitcraft that should be added first especially italian and japanese and russian aircraft.
Be nice If HTC added something that no one was expecting but would be used.

speaking of used i hardly ever see the b25c or p39 now used when i am on line!!!

I really enjoy the 25C strafer Rogerdee.  You should try it.  Great fun dogfighting in it :)  I still see a fair amount of 39s as well

But you do speak to the fundimental problem and actually work against your own argument to add more Italian, Japanese, Russian or whatever aircraft.

The majority of players aren't interested in the history part of things.  They want the bestest plane they can have.

Outside of adding Meteors, Do335s, He162s, B29s, F8Fs or whatever, any bird that get added from here on out, will see limited use outside of the AvA, Snapshots, FSO or Scenarios.  They just aren't uber enough.

Would there be some of us who'd love to tangle with the Latewar birds in a Ki43, I-16, CR 42 and the like?  You bet.  I think it would be great fun.  But there's no way that the majority of players are going to give up the speed or the cannons to fly slower, more lightly armed birds.

So while you can say that the 25 and 39 are 'hanger queens', the same would be said for anything but Uber birds added to the planeset, and I don't think you are suggesting Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe here :)
