Describing the patch due out today, Pyro stated:
Changed the perk system to award points to the country that wins the war, i.e., the country that owns the most when a reset is forced. The current award is
set to 20 fighter points, 20 bomber points, and 20 vehicle points for every person on the winning side. To be eligible for the points, you must be in the country for the amount of time required before you can switch countries again.
I think that is a great idea! Finally a sim gives a real, positive incentive to forcing a reset. I'm anxious to see how this affects side-balancing. When I fly, usually the Knights have the most pilots, followed by the Bishops, with the Rooks lagging behind. Will everyone switch to fly Knights, because they consistently have numbers to force a reset? Will the Rooks turn into permanent whipping boys, with every arena reset at their expense?
It may make sense to tie the perk points awarded to the numbers-balance ratio. i.e.,
less points would be awarded as the sides become more imbalanced...
