Sunday Night Escorted Bomber Mission in the AvA
« on: June 15, 2008, 08:28:24 PM »
Very nice escorted mission tonight after 8pm Allies.  I got in late due to Thunderstorms, but was very pleased to see the high turnout and some "new" squadrons participating! <S>

I love it when I am in a Ta152 attempting to fly it and get bounced by P-51s wearing one of my skins (353rd FG).  Almost don't know who to root for!  :aok

Felt very S3-ish. We were liking it. Hope to see more squadrons join in. :salute

I'm kinda thinking we should start scheduling these raids in conjunction with the axis, so there's someone up there to fight.

Reports from high command say that 8 jagdfliegers were hurled into a force of 70+ (formations, remember...) allied aircraft.

Not too unrealistic, though... it wasn't unheard of in the war for 20, 30, 40 RVG fighters to come to intercept 1000+ bombers with hundreds of escorts.

True enough,

... though.....

Those allied fighter pilots were probably bored too. :)

It was a good time .
Those 6 fighters still gave the Bombers a run for there money .
We where engaged with three fighters at one point got Two and still the third one got us.
Great , on the dge of your seats, nail biteing fighting.
And in the end despite some bloviating from some it was something to mark down in the book as a fun, learning experience

Bring on more
