I wish the plane line-up with the speed and climb charts were available while in flight. It would be nice to know when you're in a less familiar plane where the performance envelope is. I never think to look before taking off.

Until your wish is granted, you may do what I frequently did:
Keep Spatula's Performance Comparison Tool running while playing, and you may easily alt-tab to it during that boring climbs or transitions to the combat zone:
As you can see not only speed&climb information, but also various turn data.
