Panos, I got that, too and I agree. I've been hit by friendly ack a lot of times, it's just a nuisance, but, since we have no friendly collisions and no friendly fire, I can't see why we shouldn't have friendly ack neutered.

Just because the guy doesn't get all the explanations we are giving him for his post i wouldn't call him names because of it.

I don't believe anyone has called him "names" because he doesn't 'get it'. He's been called names because he posted a thread like a 5 year old pitching a temper tantrum. (...in keeping with the rule stuff we have going on...) You might call it "Rule #18"...."Pitch a temper tantrum in the BBS and you can expect to be ridiculed for it".

Actually someone called him "stupid"! I don't think he is he just isn't picking up what we are trying to tell him. That's not stupid just a failure to comprehend. My recommendation to him is, film it, turn it in to AH/HT and let them explain it to him.

I can't remember the last time i got hit by friendly ack. Then again i constantly move direction/alt as soon as the first burst goes off. If you stay staight and level, or close on a con through the ack, IMO you deserve to be hit. Bombers are the exception to the rule as i agree the laser ack is way out of control.

If you want people to take you seriously you must conduct yourself in a more mature way.

How on earth could you possibly know that HTC didn't design friendly ack to be dangerous? The solution is simple, you can clearly see where every ack stream is shooting.... if it's shooting in front of you.... don't fly into it. If you're trying to land and the field ack as is shooting across the runway.... land on the big pad.

I have noticed that you do this sort of thing a lot. You make blind assumptions and sit there swearing until you're blue in the face that what you have assumed is true. I've said this to you before and I'll say it again, read a book and get the facts before you start claiming that you know everything, please.

It isn't a bug, it is supposed to damage friendly's it just does not aim at them.
