Croduh has a real nice one.  Shoot him a PM.  I have one in my to do list, but it'll be at least a month.

You mean those screenshots?  If so, that won't work.  I don't think there are any terrain files on that thread.  (Or did you get some terrain files from elsewhere?)

A functioning terrain file will have the file suffix .res and goes into your Aces High II/ahiiterr folder.

Okay, well that explains it. I didnt know if you could use the Terrain or Object editor to "save as" a .res file. So...with that answered, how do you get ahold of desert terrain. I've been using Gimp to transform some of the textures into desert but that program saves it as a bmp file.

You either have to make the terrain and save the .res file to the terrains folder or wait for someone to make a desert terrain and get the .res file. Try sending a PM to Croduh (might be just Duh), he has one.

There is no way to change a terrain to desert without building it from scratch.

Thank you. I have been beating my head on the monitor for three days now. Time to get a new monitor. :D

P.S. I have built the straight sand dunes and are working on mountainous desert now. I just cant save it as a .res file. If there is a way to convert it to .res, havn't figured that out either.

It's not as simple as creating a bmp of the terrain. You need to use the Terrain Editor to create terrains (.res files)

I'm starting to see that. It says you can edit it with an exterior program. Still workin on getting the game to associate it ot a texture.
