Charging a mission horde like that is hilarious, yes, but not quite so much as furballing with a bunch of 2-weekers and ending up getting chased by twenty-plus.
It happens to me a lot, oddly enough. The last time it happened, I was in a Spit XVI, and I had four kills racked up already. I was on the tail of another Spit XVI, when suddenly I see tracers flying past my cockpit. I look back, take note of his position, and do a hard right rudder and pull up with a slight bank to the left... And then, I noticed just how serious the situation really was. I was being chased by about ten La-7s, eight Spit XVIs, several Doras, and a few P-38s. I laughed. I got two more kills out of the group, and then I was caught from behind by about five Doras.
It was so sad, yet so funny.
