What Barack Obama tells us -

Obama will immediately begin to remove our troops from Iraq. He will remove one to two combat brigades each month, and have all of our combat brigades out of Iraq within 16 months.

What he tells them -

Mr. Zebari said that in addition to promising a visit, Mr. Obama said that "if there would be a Democratic administration, it will not take any irresponsible, reckless, sudden decisions or action to endanger your gains, your achievements, your stability or security. Whatever decision he will reach will be made through close consultation with the Iraqi government and U.S. military commanders in the field."

I'm so confused....To summarize, he tells the voters of the United States that he will "...have all of our combat brigades out of Iraq within 16 months." To the Iraqi Foreign Minister he states that any action he takes will be preceded by "...close consultation with the Iraqi government and U.S. military commanders in the field." So what happens if those consultations demonstrate that his promised withdrawal schedule is unworkable or unwise? Or will he simply forgo those discussions and execute his plan?

You know all that matters is what happens in November. Everything else after that is secondary. That "stuff" will be handled in any manner he sees fit once he has the seat of power to work from. Until then he will say anything to insure he gets the votes.

He's not a flip flopper, necessarily. What he is, necessarily, is a lying bag of scum. Being such is just a requirement to run for high office, and would be true of anybody in his position. Anybody with any soul or credability would have found something else to do with his/her career besides entering the world's biggest popularity contest.

Answer from Obama: As a general principle, I believe that the Constitution confers an individual right to bear arms. But just because you have an individual right does not mean that the state or local government can't constrain the exercise of that right, in the same way that we have a right to private property but local governments can establish zoning ordinances that determine how you can use it.
