In college in Winona, MN--walking around Lake Winona in the Spring/Summer the little suckers are all over the place and have no fear of people. Have a tennis raquet handy.
We have 'em here in Hot Springs. They LOVE this time of year as bugs are everywhere. Want to have a bat freak show? Come down here and go somewhere that has huge parking lot lights about midnight. You will see SCADS of brown bats & cave bats!

Oh we have em around here too. All I he to do is go outside to watch them fling around.
also see em in one of my fishing spots when I go fishing at dusk.
Seen em go after my lures and also fly right at me.
But a bit of a difference when you know they ar there and are watching them and when one suddenly and unexpectedly pops out and flies right at you
