It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

We's gettin ready.
The three most common expressions (or famous last words) in military aviation are:'Did you feel that?' 'What's that noise?' and'Oh S...!'

We's gettin ready.

Pretty much it.

I went down a week ago and bought myself a .54 Hawken rifle. As I was going over it, I asked the guy behind the counter if they had felt a hit from low sales. He said they had actually increased. And he also surmised that people were getting ready for "shit to hit the fan."

Reports are all over....

But one industry is ACTUALLY growing..................

http://mensnewsdaily.com/2008/06/20/rkba-escapes-recession-2/

hmmmm wonder who is doing all the purchasing? :D

AND I wonder WHY?  :O

Either Civil unreast is approaching.
Or people are getting ready to defend their gas tanks to the death.

Im starting to wonder if  the rise in gas prices isnt being intentionally done with some other sinister motive in mind.
Dispite attempts at things that would lower the price of oil. It just keeps rising
Death is no easy answer
For those who wish to know
Ask those who have been before you
What fate the future holds
It ain't pretty

It has literally nothing to do with the economy or the condition of the nation TODAY.  This feeding frenzy at the gun shops is the result of firearms enthusiasts stocking up in anticipation of an obama win in november.  obama is a closet gun hater (for now) but once he gets the nod he will do whatever it takes to suppress my right to own.  Im headed down to the shop tomorrow for another 500 rounds.

yep.. two things sell guns more than any other..  a natural disaster/riot that is widely publicized or a democrat getting close to getting into power.

Why do you suppose that is?

Lazs, you can either post here and tell us how you feel or you can write your State Senator and tell him/her how you feel. The California Assembly recently passed a bill making it a crime for private citizens to sell/trade/give more than 50 rounds of ammunition to another private citizen without being registered with the Dept. of Justice as an "ammo dealer." It also requires ALL ammo sellers to get names, addresses, DL# and a thumb print from ammo buyers, along with recording the caliber and quantity of ammo sold, to be forwarded to the Dept. of Justice.

The recording of calibers of ammo will make it easier to confinscate firearms, should they ever be deemed illegal to posess- That is the Good News for what the Left is doing for us.

On the other side of the spectrum (the Right) telephone companies are now immune from lawsuits by citizens who have had the phone co. allow the Gov't. to tap phone calls.

I'm starting to agree with Toad- no matter which party wins in November America loses.
