Cuba, on the behest of the PRC, has already begun drilling the oil reserves in the Gulf of Mexico.

There is some truth to the matter of Chinese/Cuban oil exploration.  Basically it boils down to the fact that while there is not currently oil rigs 40 or 50 miles off our coast, there certainly could be.

Next major conflict will be the dissolution of the US into the white states and hispanic states. Industrious White people who get tired of supporting all the leeches will rebel and form their own country, surrendering much of the southwest  and California to the mexicans and others who want to live off socialism.  A new nation will be formed on the archaic notion that people should be self reliant.   Hey, a guy can dream can't he?
