HDNet Movies
« on: June 23, 2008, 07:08:14 PM »
I don't know how Marc Cuban gained access to these films, but he has hit a Grand Slam with HDNet Movies. Dirty Harry followed by Cool Hand Luke... it don't get no better than this! Why Turner Classic Movies hasn't converted to HD format baffles me. But, it's their loss.

If you have an HDTV and don't have HDNet Movies, well... you don't have HDTV!

I remember the line from Pink Floyd's "The Wall" where Roger Waters sings about having "13 channels of **** on the tv to choose from."  At the time we didn't have cable tv and I remember thinking, "Holy ****!  He's got 13 channels!?!?" We had about 6 over the air at the time.

channels were as follows

2 CBS
4 NBC
5 WNEW
7 ABC
9 WOR
11 WPIX
13 PBS

Ditched the satelite last week folks. At the end of the month when the bill becomes due. I won't owe. I think I started out at 30 dollars per month with Directv and my last bill was $60. In the last couple of years they have just been going nuts on increases. I bought an HD antennae. Haven't hooked it up yet. I'm rearranging the living room. Do I miss it. Yeah, Don't or won't miss the payments though. Besides I have tons of movies to watch and then there's the internet.

agreed..........direct tv is nuts.......but it's the only way I can see my bucs when I'm in south florida..since they exclusively have the NFL ticket...and I am kind of an NFL freak...so I do dig the ticket.

Insight wants $7.95/month for HD Theater, HDNet Movies, Universal HD, and HDNet.  I wish I could but they are already nickel and dime'ing me to death.
