Its almost to the point where you cant run NOE missions cause of the noobs blowing it. And its not like any of us wouldnt help the guy get his skills together enough to fly in a mission. Probably most of us would be more then happy to.

But when numbered accounts flying two free weeks can ruin a mission made up of dozens who have been with the game for years?? When that can happen like it does then there is a serious problem.

The answer is simple. Dont allow the 2 weekers to "join mission" unless the mission C/O allows it. Even better allow the mission C/O control over whos in the mission overall.

Unfortunately, you would get the obligatory noob that would follow the mission that he wasn't allowed to join, and do all the same things.

I had a suggestion a while back that took an entirely different tact.  Why not have a room where experienced pilots begin the month with one life, and the new guys get unlimited lives.  I think that would be interesting.  A sort'a see how long the fighter jocks can survive against the nubbies.  It would be fun just to look at the Roster and see how many kills they got before they caught one.
I don't know what the cut off number would be.  Possibly any score under 1,000 the previous month would make you an experienced pilot, or, say over 50 kills.  The exact number is negotiable.
Isn't this the way it happens in a REALWar ?  Experienced pilots are irreplacable, arn't they ?  You could even put a cap on how many new guys can fly for a country side based on a percentage of how much of their original territory they can manage to hold onto.  Less territory, less fliers.
Now there's a room I'd like to see.  I think it would be an interesting contest.
Once again wubbsy pulls another beauty out :lol

Nubbie ?  Actually I was playing combat flight simulator games back while most of you guys were still wearing diapers.  Anybody remember playing "Wings of the Luftwaffe" ?  I think that one came out around the late 1980's.  That's 20 years ago fellas.
Oh i forgot.  AFJROTC in 1972.  I flew a B-52 flight simulator back then.  Not on some dinky computer, but a REAL ONE.  Same console and controls as a B-52.  The whole windshield was a video screen.  Darn thing even had some weather programmed into it.  Jesus that was over 30 years ago.  How long you been flyin simulator games ?
I'm guessing from the comments I'm seeing, most of you guys are what ?  About 9 or 10 years old ?

Some of us were getting our PPLs back in the '80s..
If you're as old as you say you are then why are you having such a hard time following the advice being offered you?
The game isn't broken! Some of these folk were playing it's predecessor for $6/hour plus long distance (even international :O ) phone charges so I do not think dedication is a problem in this community.
The one thing that I find hard to swallow is this!

How in the hell do get by having such poor flight planning and SA? As far as I'm concerned you have just invalidated all of your excuses.

...and what you fail to understand is this isn't a "flight simulator". It is a "combat simulator". BTW, I've been playing "online combat simulators" for 18 years. So, while you were playing flight sim games against computers, I was doing it versus real people....noob. :)

Not let new people in missions ??????   If not 4 the missions in my first two weeks of free play i would not have met the  "ROX"   and other 77th squad members who helped me by taking the time to explain the game more. This made me more excited to do well as not to let down the other members of the flight. And if I wasn't having fun I wouldn't have signed up.  This is pay to play and if no one in two week free trial signs up it eventually ends the gaming experience :salute. Everyone was new to the game once, instead of keeping them out help them out.

OH yes i almost  forgot not everyone has a flight stick or head phones to start give them a break !javascript:void(0);

Hey Cajunn don't know if ya'll noticed this, but Klover has posted  a post in the squadron section saying that he wants to form a noobie only squad. Maybe we could get HT (I know it won't happen) to send the noobs to that squad. Also, maybe he could get some of the older members to drop in every once in a while to help out. Oh well just wanted to share that with ya'll. <S>

Thats the point! We want to help them out and teach them but they wont let us and instead insist on flying along with, and screwing up, our missions.

I never had this problem. Having first spent 15 mins in the TA when I first joined learning how to fly and land.

Pssst, I think some are just kiddies who kinda enjoy screwing up everyone elses game.
