 Ripsnorts right about one thing, to qoute stiglr you will always have the pilots with "gottawinnitis" flying the plane that gives the biggest advantage.

 One player mentioned in this thread came from WB where he flew the Spit9 almost every sortie, S.O.S. - different game.

Exactly. Perk the thing and make people PAY perk points if they want to fly a hispano variant of the D-Hog.

Frankly I dont give a damn why they consider perking the CHOG. Just perk it. I say it is unbalancing, HTC may say its because of their math. Who cares? As long as its perked im happy.

To say that then the n1k will be perked and then the spit and then other planes is something I HOPE for. I would like to see ALL late war planes be cheap perks so as to give the early and midwar planeset a reason to be and stay competitive. Uberplanes like the me262 and other monstrousities of its kind should be costly perks because of their very nature. I would love to be able to fly my P-51B or P-38F . (early)P-47, 109E , Hurricane Mk1, Spit Mk5 etc knowing that I have a slightly high chance of meeting a late war plane (respectively P-51D, P-38L, P-47N 109g10, latest Hurricane mk, Spit Mk15+), a very good chance of meeting planes of the mid-early war and a very low chance of getting popped by an me262 firing air to air rockets and then 20mm at my chute.

Almost every plane in AH has early/mid/late war/uber versions of itself. Just perk the latest one and let people fly the other 2 if they like that plane and earn the right to go up in their late war version for a cheap 5 perkies or in their ubermonster for a good amount of perkies.

Once we have the perk system, I do not mind having every single plane perked. I mean, as Pyro stated, perk system goal is to improve diversity in plane usage. If this is true, Perk system will have to be a dynamic system, with frequent changes in values. More than a way to acquire exotic planes, I see it closer to golf's handicap system. If this is the way, I'm all for it.

Some week/tour/day/whatever you will see C-Hog is a, say, 5 perkies, some other would be, say, 15, yet some other not perked, and so on for the whole planeset.

Anyway, It's not a concern for me until I see how's the impact in gameplay.
