It is still happening that someone will strafe a GV, doing no apparent damage. The GV is not smoking, is still moving and shooting.  Someone else will hit it with a bomb or a tank shell and the guy that strafed it gets the kill.  I watched a Spit land over 10 kills last night. (marking incoming GVs so the guys on the ground could shoot them.)

I really wish this would be fixed.

This is what Pyro had to say about this subject last February.

"Ahh, I know why this happens.  It's the tracks.  They are a damageable component and can soak up a large quantity of damage from light cannon and MG which unbalances the kill awarding.  I'll have to see if there's a way that HT can alter the awarding of GV kills to take that into account."
