You're in 3rd place, why quit?
Well, I was in solid first place before I got screwed on that trade and I'm satisfied that all my trades would have been legit IRL. I would have been slightly over $100k profits for the month and would have been able to buy in at the low again for yet another run next week. I went from being down to almost last place with $85k last week, having a $15k loss to being at a 100% gain for the month on nothing but big board trades.
Doing that was hard to do, especially doing it in 6 trades. I did what I wanted to do so I'm happy with my performance, it would be nice to see how much I could do in a full month. However, I'm not going to start over $80k down from where I should be, specially when the loss wasn't my fault.
If I had made a bad trade and lost the money, then I'd eat the pie and carry on, but losing 80% of my gains because the game was down ticks me off. I mean seriously, check out the gains I had after my $15k loss, only to have it all taken away because their site was down.

That is a week's worth of trading and awesome gains down the tubes, because their site was crashed and now I'm stuck at a big loss. Unless I get a miracle run in the next day or two that puts me back where I should be then I just don't feel like continuing.
btw Shorting FRE wouldn't have happened IRL because the SEC has stopped all short trades on both FRE & FNM because they are trying to stablize them.
