Why isn't the desert map ever used in non FSO arenas?  Eastwood
I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask you

Because custom terrains like that can screw with your framerates.

And I believe that an MA terrain has to be bellow a certain file size. That terrain of Tunisia is IIRC larger than the requirement. The desert tiles with the custom clutter again IIRC is what increases the file size. And there are a few rules as to what is allowed on an MA terrain.

Actually, I get better framerates with the Tunisia map than main arena maps because the ground clutter is mostly 2-dimensional.

On the other hand, the Tunisia map is totally unsuited to main arena play.
