Wow. I am going to ask this because the opportunity has never before presented itself, nor do I believe it ever will again-and I am just curious. At the same time, I'll try to ask it in a way that won't get the SkuzzStik swinging.
OK, so when you bring the Corsair up on deck and it's ready for takeoff, you then begin your 'work'. In this case, I would think, vulching yourself on the flight deck. So doesn't that put the old warbird back on the hangar deck? Guess what I am asking is how you kept your plane flight-worthy through the process. Did you have flight crew assisting?
first let me say this is a great "metaphor"
ill try to use the same
when i was ready to paint the "plane" I got it all ready for flight, well once i started to "paint" the "plane" it decided it did not like being "painted" so it when back into the hanger,( i mean way worse than jumping into the ocean on a December day), so i forced the "plane" out of the hanger, held on to that corsair, and finished the "Painting".
i think if someone else's "plane" enjoys being "painted" they need serious psychiatric help.
to say that it was uncomfortable, is quit the understatement.
but like any "painting" its about overcoming the pain. oh and the "painting" took me an hour, felt like 20.
