Bomber Formations
« on: June 29, 2008, 12:29:00 PM »
Would like the capability to change the bomber formations. Not so much as in "echelon or abreast". Just would like to be able to tighten or loosen the formation in accordance with the target I'm bombing. EXAMPLE: Tighten it up for a CV.... Lossen it for a refinery..etc etc.

I can see the possibility for changing the formation, but I wouldn't mess with the spacing. Just my humble opinion.

Hmm, that would be nice...

Make it simple dot commands...

i.e.

/.wingspacing=25f

or

/.formation=close

or maybe even

/.wingspacing(2)=50f   where (2) = plane 2

YES!!! Makes the bombs a LOT more effective when changing spacing for your desired target.

Agreed. Sometimes I'd even like a single file line for bombing CVs. Even make this tightening command available for joystick control? Such as on an X52, you can use the thumb slider on the throttle control. Push it up, and the formation gets more spread out, push it back down, and it gets tighter.

I like it, but I'd prefer to see it left as a dot command. Every analogue axis on my X52 is assigned.

There is a way to get your formation into a single file line. :uhoh

Keep it a dot command, but also give it the ability to be programmed, is what I'm saying.
