That cool recoil effect is gone.  Was this on purpose?

It's still there...just rotate the turret 90 degrees before you fire....it's there!

Well, the graphic effect is gone. If that's what you meant, then it's a bug.

The turning of the turret as a factor of recoil is not a "realistic" feature. The tank "jumping" a bit as the gun recoils back and the sight moving up is real. The turrets do not turn in a tank, unless there is a severe mechanical problem.
