Slashing Attack versus Boom and Zoom...
What exactly, if any, is the difference?
I'm assuming, possibly incorrectly, that a slashing attack involves a deflection angle shot followed by a small zoom or other E conserving manuever then another slashing attack.
Is Boom and Zoom really just slashing attacks, but BnZ has gotten a bad rep from cherry pickers who Boom from large alt advantage and then zoom back up to the perch?
I've been reading and studying quite a bit since this tour started and would like a clarification. Many folks discribe BnZ as "boring". I spent the day flying mostly a P51D. I would come in fairly high, attempt to jump an opponent (admittedly a cherry pick attempt), then follow up with numerous high and low yo-yo type manuevers to continue slashing at the target. Most of the time, after the first Boom I was never more then about 2k from the target (unless I found myself in trouble, in which case I would make a run for it to hopefully escape and reset). I didn't find it boring or particularly easy. After the initial attempted "cherry pick" was I slashing?
Just wanting to better understand the terminology so as to better understand the reading material.
Thanks in advance.
