i just got a laptop and installed aces high.  everything runs fine except i am warping like something out of Roswell.  anyone have any suggestions?

u runnin a wireless connection? if so may wanna get a new router, cause seems like its garbage, or get a new wireless card

It could be heat related. I had the same problem until I bought a fan setup for under the laptop.

Please do a search on these boards for warping and you will find a lot of info that might help you out.

Assuming the laptop is running Vista, it is important to disable all power management settings or the game cannot play smoothly.

Check in the in-game 'Net-Status' chart and make note of the 'Variance' line.  If that line is bouncing around a lot, then it indicates the CPU is off running other things, and/or power management is in effect.
