Tank Club

Theres a tank club starting lead by sloehand.

Starts every sunday at 4pm pacific on channel 203 in DA.

The purpose of this club is to run snapshot like events in DA and have fun and also hopefully have 30 people or more show up so Sloehand can take tanking to the FSO.

it sounds fun but i am not allowed to become a tanker. shegotya has got that part covered

maybe i'll stop in and check it out, on my mellow mood days i'll log in and roll a panzer or sherman, never seem to have enough gv perks for a tiger hehe.

I went to one of those... was tremendous fun.  I haven't, unfortunately, made it back again (conflict in that time slot)... but I hope to make it back again!   Thank you, Sloe, for all of your hard work in putting that together!

Just kidding. I am soooooooooooooooo in. It was a great idea back when it originated and I am glad it's coming back! Thanks Sloe ... even though you said no girls but, that won't stop me!! I would love to help out with Tank Club in any way if you need it Sloe. Hopefully Sunday Night Scramble won't come back and we can use the SEA for it on Sundays before the arena gets set up for racing practice.

That was YOUR rule AckAck, AckAck, AckAck.  Sounds like those martians from the movie Mars Attacks!
 

Anyway, everyone who has participated in TANK CLUB has had a great time, or they be lying to me.  

The fun and purpose of TANK CLUB is to just enjoy some GV vs. GV action without having to worry about bombers, or being restricted to the simple MA-style base take-and-defend missions.  I set up different matchups of GV's sometimes with specific mission goals on one or both sides.  Sometimes we just battleroyal, and sometimes we even have jeep races and other strange competitions.

My long term goal is to get enough people to show up on a regular basis so that I can bribe... uh, persuade a CM to host this in the SEA, maybe only once a month at first or even bi-monthly.  In the SEA I will set up some serious tank battles similar in structure to the Wednesday Snapshots that will last 1 to 2 hours, and will involve specific battle planning, reinforcements, and tactical mission objectives, which may inspire a bit more realistic tank tactics and action.

Anyways, it's all meant for people to just show up and join in, and contribute new scenarios if they want.  Soon too, I'm going to need people to help 'lead' and referee this event (so I can play too).  There is a lot of potential for everyone to pitch in and help develop this event and make it the most fun you can do in heavy iron!!!
