no idea... last time i tried teh install was balky (usually never a plm with AH - they're damn good at what they do) so it must've been something minor on my end that i couldn't be bothered to try at the time.

oh.. when i get my joystick(s) fixed...  soldering ain't my thing.

u can buy a new one shane! broken joystick is NOT a good excuse :)

blah blah blah.. don't trust the ones on ebay at this point...  for a large chunk of teh production, they came with substandard thingies that wore out fast.. toward the end, the quality was much better... so don't really trust ebay...

however, i did find one lesser spazzy stick and have been pwning somewhat... the flying is easy, the gunnery is sucking...

so for the next 2 weeks at least, i'm back...

I had a very interesting discussion with my media guy today.  I had him look at this game....and he thinks that all things being equal...meaning media ads or saturation...more girl gamers are apt to join this game than boy gamers are.

"girl" and "boy" being the operative words here.  He feels that because it's a monthly fee.... boys are going to be more interested in simulations with jets...and missiles... whereas girls may like a bit of a slower, more hands on pace...and even appreciate the historical significance more. 

since girls represent almost half the gamers.......that's food for thought...and this cat knows what he speaks of...

you know where he said AH should advertise to get the most bang for their buck?  AARP Magazine.  He said it would be a home run.

I found it interesting.....
