Also keep in mind that with a joystick, the only time it doesn't send out an analog/digital signal is when its at the center position.  If they behaved like some real flight controls and not return to center, a constant signal will be sent to the joystick to the computer.  This will cause whatever you're controlling to move in the position the joystick is at.  It's not just a simple thing as removing the springs from the stick to make it like you described.

True, I was misunderstood what he meant at first  :rolleyes: . I thought he was saying that if he applied full up elevator the stick would stay in the full up postion until he returned it to center. You right in a real plane it returns to trim.

Well, I did have it do that one day when a glove jammed the mass balance....
